Arizona Coyotes signal Juuso Valimaki to one-year extension

The Arizona Coyotes introduced Tuesday that the staff has signed defenceman Juuso Valimaki to a one-year contract extension. Per membership coverage, phrases of the settlement weren’t disclosed.

“We’re very happy to signal Juuso to a one-year extension,” mentioned GM Invoice Armstrong in a press release. “He’s an enormous, sturdy, two-way defenseman who has been an important addition to our defensive corps. We sit up for having him on our roster subsequent season.”

The 24-year-old Valimaki has recorded 12 factors with 20 penalty minutes in 43 video games this season.

A local of Tampere, Finland, Valimaki has 28 factors with 68 PIM in 125 profession NHL video games with the Coyotes and Calgary Flames.

Valimaki was claimed off waivers by the Coyotes previous to the beginning of the season. He was initially drafted by the Flames within the first spherical (sixteenth total) within the 2017 NHL Draft.
